Saori’s practice is to explore the disorientating notions of uncertain and blurred borders between fiction and non-fiction, life and death. One of the inspirations for her exploration is the sense of sound and silence. ‘I tend to rely on my hearing, as much as my vision, to understand my situation and the distance from the things around me. When the sound confuses me, it disorients me from my reality and makes me feel uncertain. I am fascinated to evoke such unsettling notions within my two dimensional works’. More...
